GameHub JC College Football 25 Tournament Rules (PS5)

Welcome to the College Football 25 Tournament at GameHub JC! Please review the following rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable competition for all participants.


General Tournament Structure

  1. Format: The tournament will follow a single-elimination format, where each participant competes in a one-on-one matchup. Losing players are eliminated from the tournament bracket.

  2. Participants: The tournament is limited to 20 participants.

  3. Game Settings:

    • Game Title: College Football 25
    • Platform: PlayStation 5
    • Difficulty Level: All-Pro
    • Quarter Length: 5 minutes
    • Game Mode: Standard Head-to-Head
  4. Seeding: Participants will be seeded randomly at the start of the tournament bracket.


Match Rules

  1. Game Setup:

    • Each game will be set to the “All-Pro” difficulty level.
    • Quarters will be 5 minutes each, with standard gameplay settings (no accelerated clock).
  2. Teams:

    • Participants may select any Division I team available within the College Football 25 roster.
    • Teams are chosen before each match, with no team lock (players can switch teams between rounds).
    • Mirror matches (where both players select the same team) are allowed if both players agree.
  3. Controls:

    • Only standard controllers will be allowed. Custom or modified controllers, turbo buttons, or macros are prohibited.
    • Players may bring their own PS5 controllers if they prefer, but GameHub JC will provide standard controllers for all matches.
  4. Gameplay Rules:

    • Playclock: Players must snap the ball within the playclock time to avoid delay-of-game penalties.
    • Onside Kicks: Allowed only in the 4th quarter if the kicking team is losing.
    • Going for Two: Allowed at any point during the game, based on the player’s strategic choice.
    • Overtime: In case of a tie at the end of regulation, the game will proceed to overtime with standard College Football 25 overtime rules.
  5. Pause Rules:

    • Each player may pause the game twice per match to adjust settings, substitute players, or address any equipment issues. Each pause must be under 30 seconds.
    • Pausing for longer than 30 seconds or pausing more than twice without permission will result in a warning. Repeated infractions may result in a forfeit.
    • In case of technical issues or equipment failure, players should alert tournament staff immediately.

Conduct Rules

  1. Sportsmanship: Players are expected to maintain respect and professionalism throughout the tournament. Taunting, aggressive behavior, or unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification.

  2. Cheating: Any form of cheating, glitch exploitation, or hacking will result in immediate disqualification. Players found using banned tactics or exploiting in-game bugs will forfeit their spot in the tournament.

  3. Disconnections: In the event of a disconnection, the game will be paused and resumed as closely as possible to the time and score at the moment of disconnection.

    • If the disconnection is deemed intentional, the offending player will be disqualified from the tournament.
  4. Spectators: Only players and staff are allowed in the tournament area during matches. Spectators may watch from designated areas.

  5. Decisions: All rulings by GameHub JC tournament officials are final. Officials reserve the right to interpret these rules as needed to maintain fairness and integrity.


Match Procedure

  1. Arrival and Check-in: Players should arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to check in and confirm participation.

  2. Pre-Match Setup:

    • Both players will complete setup and confirm their teams before the game starts.
    • Players will be given a brief warm-up period to adjust to the equipment if needed.
  3. End of Match:

    • At the end of each match, the winner must report their victory to tournament staff to advance to the next round.
    • In the case of disputes, tournament officials will review footage and make a final ruling.

Prize

  • Winner: $200 cash prize to the player who wins the final match.
