Madden 25 Tournament Rules

Welcome to the Madden 25 Tournament at GameHub JC! Here’s a full breakdown of the rules to ensure fair and fun gameplay for all participants.

Tournament Structure

1. Format: Single-elimination format. Each participant will face off in a one-on-one matchup, with the losing player eliminated from the tournament.
2. Participants: The tournament is open to 20 participants.
3. Game Settings:
   • Game Title: Madden 25
   • Platform: PlayStation 5
   • Difficulty Level: All-Pro
   • Quarter Length: 5 minutes
   • Game Mode: Standard Head-to-Head

4. Seeding: Players will be randomly seeded into the tournament bracket.

Match Rules

1. Game Setup:
   • Each game will be set to “All-Pro” difficulty level.
   • Quarters will be set to 5 minutes, with no accelerated clock.

2. Teams:

1. • Participants may choose any of the 32 current teams available i Madden 25.
   • Teams are not locked for the entire tournament, meaning players can switch teams for each round.
   • Mirror matches (both players choosing the same team) are allowed if both players agree.

3. Controllers:

1. • Standard controllers are allowed. No turbo buttons, custom controllers, or macros.
   • Players may bring their own PS5 controller if preferred, or use the standard GameHub JC-provided controllers.

4. Gameplay Rules:

1. • Play Clock: Players must snap the ball before the play clock expires to avoid a delay-of-game penalty.
   • Onside Kicks: Allowed only in the 4th quarter if the kicking team is losing.
   • Going for Two: Allowed at any point in the game, based on the player’s choice.
   • Overtime: Standard Madden 25 overtime rules apply if the game is tied at the end of regulation.

5. Pausing and Timeouts:

1. • Each player is allowed to pause the game twice for up to 30 seconds to adjust settings or make substitutions.
   • Any pauses longer than 30 seconds or exceeding two pauses may lead to a warning or potential forfeit.
   • In case of equipment failure or technical issues, players must inform tournament staff immediately.

Conduct Rules

1. Sportsmanship:
   • Players must maintain respect and good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Any taunting, aggression, or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in a warning and potential disqualification.

2. Cheating and Exploits:

1. • Cheating, glitch exploitation, or any form of hacking is strictly prohibited. Players found violating these terms will be disqualified.

3. Disconnections:

1. • If a disconnection occurs, the game will be paused and resumed as closely as possible to the score and time of the disconnection.
   • Intentional disconnections will result in disqualification for the offending player.

4. Spectator Rules:

1. • Only players and tournament staff are permitted in the playing area. Spectators are welcome to watch from designated areas.

5. Final Decisions:

1. • All tournament official decisions are final. Officials reserve the right to interpret and enforce rules to maintain fairness.

Match Procedures

1. Check-in and Setup:
   • Players should check in 30 minutes before the tournament starts.
   • A brief warm-up period will be allowed for players to adjust to the equipment.

2. Match Start:

1. • Both players will finalize team selections and make necessary adjustments before the game starts.

3. End of Match:

1. • Winners should report their result to tournament staff immediately to advance to the next round.
   • In case of any disputes, tournament officials will review footage and make a final decision.
